長江文藝出版社成立于 1955 年，建社以來秉持“精英文化、大眾趣味、百姓情懷”的出版理念，已出版圖書上萬種，與境外出版機構達成版權貿易 2000 余種，發行網絡遍布全國。 2009 年以來，長江文藝出版社先后被新聞出版總署評為“全國百佳出版社” “全國先進集體”;2013 年獲評“中國出版政府獎”先進出版單位 ; 2016 年獲得國內版權領域最高榮譽——“全國版權示范單位”稱號 ;并先后七次獲得中宣部“五個一工程”獎，兩次獲得茅盾文學獎，七次獲得魯迅文學獎。

　　在國家大力提倡推動圖書“引進來，走出去”的發展戰略下，長江文藝出版社積極整合出版資源，堅持版權“引進+輸出”雙向發力的戰略眼光，實現《致教師》 《青衣》 《到黑夜想你沒辦法》等多種圖書輸出至韓國、泰國、歐美等國家，并得到了絲路書香出版工程、經典中國國際出版工程的資助。
