《閱讀時代》是“中國全民閱讀第一刊”。辦刊宗旨為宣傳全民閱讀理念、傳遞全民閱讀信息、推介全民閱讀典型，引導社會大眾愛讀書、讀好書、善讀書，助力書香社會建設。 2016年9月創刊時，時任國家新聞出版廣電總局吳尚之副局長、中國期刊協會會長石峰、省委宣傳部長梁偉年、副省長郭生練出席揭牌儀式?？飭柺篮笫艿娇偩?、省委省政府領導和廣大讀者的一致好評?！堕喿x時代》強調指導性、知識性、趣味性和可讀性，是一本大眾化的綜合類月刊。《閱讀時代》設看讀天下、閱讀會所、開卷有益、書伴人生、輕松閱覽等五大欄目，下設熱點跟蹤、書香神州、閱讀動態、書海航標、奇文欣賞、著書者說、名士風流、文化苦旅、書海探秘、農家書屋、經典賞析等20個小欄目。
《閱讀時代》由武漢決策信息研究開發中心主辦，湖北華楚報刊有限責任公司編輯出版。
Reading Times is "the No.1 periodical for China's national reading". The purpose of the magazine is to publicize the national reading concept, transmit the national reading information, introduce the representative for national reading, guide the public to love reading, read good books and do well in reading, and help build a scholarly society. When founded in September 2016, Shi Feng, deputy director of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, president of the China Journal Association, Liang Weinian, the provincial propaganda minister, and Guo Shenglian, deputy provincial governor, attended the unveiling ceremony. After publication, it was highly praised by the leaders of the SARFT, the provincial party committee and the provincial government. Reading Times emphasizes guidance, knowledge, interest and readability, and is a comprehensive monthly magazine. Reading Times has five major columns: reading the world, reading club, reading enriches the mind, reading life, and easy reading, as well as 20 small columns such as . hotspot tracking, scholarly China, reading dynamics, reading guidance, enjoying remarkable work, writers’ words, celebrities, cultural perplexity, exploring in books, farmers’ book house, classic appreciation.
Reading Times was edited and published by Hubei Huachu Newspapers and Media Co., Ltd., hosted by Wuhan Decision Information Research and Development Center.
